What is a Safe Place

Estimated reading time:  10 minutes

Overview

A Safe Place is a local business providing their community with support through connection, compassionate conversations, access to resources and receives people with heart during challenging times.  A Safe Place can also connect people to care via their local Safe Space, ensuring support is available when it matters and is needed most.

Being a Safe Place in the community may involve:

  • offering brochures/web-based links
  • connecting people to local supports including your local Safe Space
  • providing a quiet space to sit with a cup of tea
  • connecting through a compassionate conversation.
